The Urban Institute, however, predicts that the number of renters 65 and older will grow from 7.4 million in 2020 to 12.9 million by 2040, with a particularly large increase among Black older adults.

This is not good. The thought of someone being on a fixed income and being subjected to rent increases is scary. If you are not the owning real estate type, please be investing in something that appreciates in value for your future. You are responsible for you.
