So apparently thieves are targeting vacant, renovated and new construction property listings they see marketed.
Make sure to take the appropriate precautions when listing a vacant property.
Make the property appear occupied as best as possible when possible, ask your agent to take photos before your possession are out or stage the home to appear as though it’s lived in. Deadbolts, and cameras are a good option also. Locks are for honest people but make it as difficult as possible for anyone to enter without leaving evidence.
