🚨 Property taxes are increasing in BOTH Woonsocket and Pawtucket.

Here's why:

🏫 Aging schools

📈 Inflation

🛣️ Infrastructure costs

💸 Federal pandemic aid is running out

📍Woonsocket: $11.64 per $1,000 assessed value

📍Pawtucket: $13.15 per $1,000 assessed value

📍Pawtucket is also conducting a citywide property revaluation that could impact future bills.

Both cities received state approval to exceed Rhode Island's normal 4% tax increase cap.
