Here’s what the numbers say for single-family homes in Worcester and the surrounding towns (Jan 1 – Oct 1 vs. last year):

Inventory is up 27% across Worcester County. Buyers finally have more to choose from.
Shrewsbury and Rutland are the busiest markets, with closed sales up 26–30%.
It’s still a seller’s market almost everywhere. Southborough is the only town here near balanced.
