I have some exciting news!

I officially passed my Life Insurance Exam and am beginning a new chapter helping individuals and families with life insurance, retirement planning, and wealth-building strategies.

As I get started, I'm looking for a handful of friends, family members, and acquaintances who would be willing to sit down with me for a practice appointment. Don't worry—I won't be doing it alone. My mentor will be joining me to make sure you receive accurate information and professional guidance.

If you already have life insurance, an annuity, or retirement accounts, we can review what you have and help determine whether it's serving you well or if there may be better options available. If you don't have coverage, we can simply discuss your goals and answer questions.

I'm looking for people who are willing to help me gain experience while potentially learning something valuable about their own financial future.

If you're interested, comment below or send me a private message. I'd be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to practice and learn.

And if nothing else, you'll be helping a middle-aged woman prove that it's never too late to start something new. ❤️

Well, this is not a post I expected to be writing...

I'm taking a life insurance licensing course!

I know... I know...The phrase "life insurance salesperson" makes me cringe too. In fact, one of my biggest struggles right now is figuring out what to call myself besides a life insurance salesperson because it sounds like someone who's trying to sell you something you don't want to think about (so suggestions are welcome).

But here's the weird thing...

This course is actually fascinating.

Before this, I thought life insurance was basically: you die, somebody gets a check. End of story.

Turns out that's not the whole story at all.

What I'm learning is that some policies can also be used as a vehicle for saving money and creating access to capital later in life. Education. A business. A car. A house. Opportunities. Without a credit check!

Now, before all the financial professionals on my friends list tackle me to the ground, let me be clear: I am VERY new at this and still learning. I don't know enough yet to be giving anybody advice.

What I do know is that every chapter I read makes me want to learn more.

And that's usually a pretty good sign.

Also, don't panic. I'm not quitting real estate.

I'm still selling houses.

In fact, the more I learn, the more I realize these two things go hand in hand. Most people don't make financial decisions in neat little categories. Buying a house, protecting a family, saving for retirement, helping your kids, planning for the future... it's all connected.

So for now, I'm studying. Asking questions. Learning things I probably should have learned years ago.

And trying to figure out what to call myself besides "life insurance salesperson."

Because that still feels a little cringey.
