This is JUST the main floor. 👀

I stood up on the stairwell so you can actually get a sense of how much space there is here — living room, dining area, kitchen, and all that natural afternoon light.

And then remember: this view still doesn’t include the 1,224 sq ft basement or the entire upstairs behind me.

At my last open house, several people told me some version of:

“You really have to see this house in person to appreciate how much space there is.”

And I was basically like… YES. Exactly. 😂

That is the thing about this house. The numbers tell you it’s big, but walking through it is when you really understand the space.

Since the Central Washington Fair is going on, I have to bring back one of my favorite stories from this property. 🌲🎡

This tree was brought home from the fair when it was just a little baby.

And now… it is definitely not little anymore. 😂

I love details like this because they’re part of the history of a home — not just the house itself, but the things that have grown and changed around it over the years.

And this property has some absolutely beautiful established trees.

Sometimes you have a really cute idea for a picture.

And sometimes you have a Boxer. 😂

Henry has this toy that makes him look like a little door knocker when he carries it around, and all I wanted was ONE picture.

Instead, he kept doing the Boxer pretzel and slowly scooting away from me while I followed him around saying, “Henry… Henry…”

By the end I’m laughing so hard and finally yell:

“I’M TRYING TO MAKE CONTENT!”

Henry could not care less. 😂

What would you do with this little bonus room? 👀

This space sits at the top of the stairs on the second floor, right outside the primary suite.

When my sellers bought the house seven years ago, there was actually a grand piano sitting right here. 🎹

I think that is such a cool little piece of the house’s story.

Personally, I would turn this into a super cozy reading library. There’s already an office downstairs, so I’d make this room something completely different — a chair by the windows, shelves of books, warm lighting, blankets… done. 😂📚

The natural light and all those interesting little angles make it feel like one of those spaces that could become something really special.

And honestly, this entire house needs to be experienced in person. We’ve had hundreds of people through it and people consistently tell me how phenomenal it is.

We just haven’t found the person who’s supposed to own it next yet.

Apparently I REALLY wanted to make sure nobody missed me today.

But honestly — follow the signs and come see this one in person. And you’ve got to check out the shop because it’s one of those spaces that just doesn’t come across the same in photos.

Always good to have guests at your open house. 😂🐈

I’ve had FOUR neighborhood kitties come over to visit me today, and one of them decided to sit down beside me on the front step and inspect the property.

So naturally I started giving him the highlights.

“The whole exterior was painted last year. What do you think about that?”

Meow.

I’m pretty sure that means he approves. 😂

Honestly, one of the perks of sitting at open houses is you never know who is going to stop by.

You’d never guess what this little room used to be… 👀

The owner’s sons told me their dad was a barber, and he actually had a little barbershop right here in this room. 💈

My father-in-law was also a barber in Gleed, another small town here in the Yakima Valley, for more than 60 years, so I find that part of this home’s history especially endearing. There’s just something about the local barber in a small town. ❤️

Today, this space is a laundry/bonus room with outside access, but it could be so many different things — an office, exercise room, playroom, craft or hobby space, game room, or whatever works for you.

There’s another bedroom right off of it as well, so this whole area gives you a lot of flexibility.

I love homes that have these little pieces of their story still tucked inside.

How’s your Saturday going? 😂

Mine started with an open house this morning, then I headed to the fair to watch my daughter perform—and somehow managed to be TWO MINUTES late for her solo. 🤦‍♀️ I didn’t realize I could get in with the performers, but thankfully, other my dance mom friends had my back and got the performance on video for me. ❤️

Now I’m over at Lyle Loop, and I just had the nicest people come through. They stayed awhile, really looked around, and we ended up talking about all kinds of things.

That’s one of the reasons I love open houses. Sometimes it’s about the house, sometimes it’s about real estate, and sometimes we just talk about life.

Okay, apparently we need to talk about this because people keep asking me:

Is the Greer-Germaine House haunted? 👀👻

I’ve spent a LOT of time in this house, and no — I don’t get creepy vibes here.

And I’ve absolutely been in houses where you walk in and immediately think, nope, I do not want to hang out here. 😂 Not saying they’re haunted, but there are definitely houses that just feel creepy.

This one doesn’t.

Honestly, the vibe here feels much more like “I’ve had a hard life and I need somebody to love me.” ❤️

It needs work, it has stories, and it definitely has personality — but creepy? Not to me.
