"One law will let developers build housing on some commercial land without having to ask permission from local governments, as long as a certain percentage of the housing is affordable.

Another law will let developers build all market-rate housing on some commercial land — which would be more lucrative — but the projects would still have to go through an environmental review process."

Now, two new laws in California will let developers build housing on land zoned for retail, offices or parking and largely prevent revenue-hungry local governments from stopping them.

I’m spoiled because I’m married to and get to sleep next to the hottest woman of all time but the absolute unfair bonus is that she’s literally the best mom to our amazing children. I thankfully had a mostly flawless and fantastic childhood but I’m trying to imagine a scenario where my parents and I dressed up and acted like whackadoos (and can 100% see it happening if it was as easy as it is now!) but I’m glad my kids are growing up in such a fun environment. In my parents defense (and in laws) I bet they’ll dress up with us next time.

Still going through all the pictures and video we took from the amazing last weekend. Looking forward to making or buying some actual costumes and not just random items we had our daughters mug people for on the way into the con. I’m kidding! I simply Jedi mind tricked them.

While Irvine has the most affordable homes of any OC city, the study shows affordable developments are scattered around the county – but more heavily concentrated in the northern cities.

The number of amenities that this community has is outright criminal and extravagantly luxurious. I don't know what genie magically wished the multiple pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, putting green, basketball court, and trails into existence but the $260 a month fee is well worth it and I believe the HOA must have a hidden gold mine somewhere around here to offset the costs.
