ys I had the privilege to intern at Longwood Gardens. Not long after college I transitioned into the corporate world. I was a domestics buyer for Boscov’s Department stores and a Senior Demand Planner at Godiva Chocolatier for several years. Once my husband and I started our family things shifted for me. The value of family became the upmost priority. I know picking the right home is such an important decision. Real Estate became a natural transition for me in combining my life experiences and my ability to develop rewarding relationships with my clients. My passion is to help my clients find their forever home, because I know happiness starts at home. I am very familiar with Berks and York County and currently reside in York. When considering selling your home, take the time to create a budget of things that possible could be addressed in your home. For my house I created a budget, with the biggest expense being new carpet in the house. My house had the original builder grade carpet, and it didn't make sense to spend the money while living in the house with a young child.

However, selling the house creates new priorities, so replacing the carpet would not only look better but it would appeal to the most buyers.

When a buyer walks in a house and sees projects that need to be fixed all they see are dollar signs of things they will need to pay for. And they will consider asking less than asking price for a house. I wanted to lesson this feeling, so it was worth it to replace the carpet and create a beautiful new look and feel to the house.

With developing my budget to prepare to sell my house, one consideration I took was to update my kitchen. Granted it wasn't in the budget to completely redo the kitchen, however there is nothing that a good paint job can't fix!

My house had builder grade oak cabinets (you know the ones you see everywhere). It took a ton of work to complete this project. However, I think you can see the results speak for themselves.

The house feels even lighter and much bigger now. And bonus I was going to upgrade my countertops, but with the cabinets redone, I don't think I need to put in that expense.

Been working on updating the house a bit. Took out the old fixtures and replaced them with newer looking sleek black lights. My house has a very traditional colonial feel to it but I love a good dramatic black! 🩷 Just creates a timeless look (in my opinion).

Didn’t take long at all to do the project. Less than an hour. Saved tons of money by doing it myself too!💰💰💰
