Atlantic View II Located in York ME on Short Sands beach. Upstairs you'll find three bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two twin beds, and one with a queen-sized bed.

The "Atlantic View II", an adorable summer vacation rental with ocean views and walking distance to Short Sands Beach!! This great home has an open floor plan on the first level, with a fully functional eat-in kitchen (dishwasher, coffee maker, etc), stacked washer/dryer, freshly updated 3/4 bathroom (no tub), and living room with cable TV and views of the ocean. Two of the bedrooms also have ocean views. Outside there is a picnic table, gas grill, beach chairs, and an outdoor shower! Completing all of this is the fact that you can walk just a short distance to Short Sands Beach and the surrounding shops, restaurants, arcade, playground, gazebo with nightly music, and York's Wild Animal Kingdom Zoo. The location can't be beat! Parking is limited to two cars please. All linens are provided. Cable, Internet. No pets and non-smoking property.

🇺🇸 EXPERIENCE MEMORIAL LIGHTS IN REMEMBRANCE OF 9/11 FROM MOUNT AGAMENTICUS 🇺🇸

This week, a special memorial will light up the night sky in remembrance of the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

From Wednesday, September 9 through Saturday, September 12, between 8:00 PM and midnight, Mount Washington will project two large beams of light into the sky representing the Twin Towers. The lights, part of the Honor Summit at Mount Washington, may be visible from as far as 135 miles away.

At approximately 78 miles as the crow flies, the lights may be visible from the summit of Mount Agamenticus here in York.

Due to increased interest in viewing the memorial from Mount Agamenticus, Mount Agamenticus will extend its gate hours until midnight each night from Wednesday through Saturday to allow visitors to access the summit.

🌌 What to know if you plan to visit:
• The lights will be projected between 8:00 PM and midnight each night.
• Viewing conditions will depend heavily on weather and cloud cover.
• Friday, September 11, is expected to have the best viewing conditions, and we anticipate the largest number of visitors that evening.
• Please follow posted parking instructions and the direction of officers and Mount Agamenticus staff.
• Be prepared for potentially increased traffic and pedestrian activity around the summit.
• The Mount Agamenticus gate will close at midnight each night after visitors have cleared the area. Regular gate hours will resume Sunday.

York Police will have an increased presence in the area Friday evening to assist with traffic, parking, and public safety should large crowds gather.

This year will mark 25 years since the tragic events of 9/11. We encourage everyone who visits to do so respectfully and safely as we come together to remember and honor the lives affected by September 11, 2001.
