A thaw in the housing market may deliver relief for homebuyers left out in the cold over recent years, analysts told ABC News.

After the pandemic, a rapid rise in home prices coincided with stubbornly high mortgage rates, shutting out potential buyers.

Glimmers of hope have started to emerge, however. Mortgage rates are falling, wages are rising faster than home prices and homebuyers are scooping up their biggest discounts in years, some analysts told ABC News.

🏡☀️🏡Our 1st warm sunny afternoon this year was this past weekend. It’ls time to be-on the lookout and keep pets safe.
RIGHT NOW: Snakes are waking up from brumation (winter sleep). They are sluggish, highly defensive, and basking in the open sun to warm up.
What happens: A curious dog sticks its nose in a pile of dead leaves or on a sun-baked rock. A sluggish snake strikes out of fear.
What to do TODAY:
→ Rake up leftover dead leaves and brush piles.
→ Walk the yard before your dog does on sunny days.
→ Keep dogs on a short leash on rocky hiking trails.
→ Know your local venomous species.
They are hiding where you least expect them. Clear the brush before you let them run. 🐶
