Today, Tipping Point was proud to stand alongside local and state leaders in support of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Housing Action Plan and what it makes possible for communities like Greensburg.

None of this happens without partnership. We're grateful to Governor Shapiro, his team, and Deputy Secretary Rick Vilello (PA DCED) for championing innovative housing investment in Pennsylvania. Most importantly, this isn’t possible without the many local leaders moving this vision forward — including the Westmoreland County Housing Authority, Mayor Robert Bell, the City of Greensburg, Representative Eric Nelson, Westmoreland County Commissioners, Westmoreland County IDC, Westmoreland County Land Bank, and Greensburg Community Development Corporation.

This project reflects a community-centered approach to development shaped by local voices and led by the next generation. Through an immersive course taught by Tipping Point, in partnership with Desmone Architects and Mascaro Construction, students from Shady Side Academy worked to create a vision for Downtown Greensburg rooted in the priorities of its residents and community leaders. Their vision centered on housing opportunity, economic growth, and a stronger future for younger generations in Greensburg.

This is what community-centered development looks like. And we're just getting started.

BIG NEWS for Wheeling and the Greater Ohio Valley

The Wheeling Gateway Center has officially hit a major milestone—the project is now out to bid.

After years of planning, 15 contractors attended a site walkthrough, signaling strong regional interest from firms across the Ohio Valley and beyond.

With bids due in the coming weeks and a contractor expected to be selected by April 10, the project is quickly moving toward construction, with a groundbreaking anticipated as soon as June.

This next phase brings the Gateway Center one step closer to becoming a transformational anchor along Wheeling’s riverfront—connecting history, tourism, and future growth in a meaningful way.

NEWS❗ The Wheeling Gateway Center has officially gone to bid! Upon completion, it will be one of the most transformational projects in the Northern Panhandle in modern history, strengthening connections between downtown Wheeling, the Heritage Trail, and the historic Suspension Bridge while creating a destination for both residents and visitors.

Last Friday, the project team was proud to welcome Congressman Riley Moore to the Wheeling Gateway site to celebrate a $2MM federal investment supporting a direct connection between the future Visitor and Heritage Center and the Wheeling Heritage Riverfront Trail.

The trail connector has consistently emerged as one of the community’s highest priorities throughout the Gateway Center design process. This connection will strengthen access between downtown Wheeling and the riverfront, enhancing mobility for residents while improving the experience for visitors exploring the city’s history and cultural assets.

Thank you to Congressman Moore, Senator Shelley Moore Capito, and Senator Jim Justice for their leadership and continued support of Wheeling and the Ohio Valley.
