Friends, I’ve been replacing any stir-fry recipe with this delicious Korean gochujang version. They say “the kids” are replacing sriracha with this delicious slightly spicy sweet sauce. I don’t know if gochujang is the new sriracha but it is so tasty!
This recipe came from EatingWell “gochujang stir-fry sauce.” My handwritten recipe here is doubled.
Veggies tonight from and the beautiful organic carrots from Comanche Creek Farms in Chico. 1 lb for $2.69. Fresh, local, organic food is not always more expensive. Shop your local farmer and small grocery when you can. I think it could add years to my life. If not, it makes this day and this moment more beautiful. Peace and love, Avis

1/2 C gochujang
3 T lemon juice
2 T grated fresh ginger
2 T soy sauce
2 T dry sherry
2 T toasted sesame oil

I’ve been enjoying living and selling real estate in beautiful Northern California, seeing the crops grow in the rainy spring weather sprinkled with these glorious sunny days. Soft green wheat, fuzzy green baby almonds, tiny green tomato sprouts in rows. Green, green green! The cloudy skies amplify the deep green and it is so beautiful. We are fortunate to live in this bounty.
I took some photos near Esparto yesterday and the soon-to-be-developed Yolo Food Hub, a photo on my way out of Woodland (the old olive trees), and a video outside of Williams, CA (the horse’s behind.)
