Here we have a textbook case of “close enough” engineering…
📸 Those photoelectric eyes (aka safety sensors) are supposed to be 6 inches off the floor to prevent the garage door from turning your toddler’s trike into modern art.
But these beauties? They’re mounted near the ceiling — perfect for detecting flying squirrels, low-flying drones, or haunted helium balloons.
💡 Remember: If your garage door’s sensors are up here ⬆️ instead of down there ⬇️, your “safety feature” just turned into a garage guillotine.
🛑 Friends don’t let friends install safety sensors like satellite dishes.
