Testimonial Tuesday ❤️

There are ALWAYS bumps in a real estate transaction. It’s usually not a matter of if something unexpected comes up, but when-and who you have in your corner when it does.

After 13+ years in real estate, I definitely haven’t seen it all…but let’s just say I’ve seen a lot. 😂 My job isn’t just helping you find a house or getting yours sold. It’s anticipating problems when I can, helping you avoid the ones I’ve seen before, and figuring out the unexpected ones so you don’t have to.

This transaction had a few moving pieces-including an issue with an additional vacant lot that popped up along the way-but we got it handled and kept everything moving.

➡️After 12 years in their home, this family was ready for a big move out of state. Between coordinating the timing, helping the kids through the transition, selling their home and finding a new one, there were a lot of moving pieces.

Don’t buy in the Omaha area until you know this 👇

🏦 Lenders will approve you for more than you should actually spend. Just because you CAN doesn’t mean you SHOULD

🔧 Buy the home that’s already done the big repairs. Cosmetic updates are cheap. A new roof or HVAC system is not

📈 A “fixed” mortgage doesn’t mean your payment is fixed. Taxes and insurance can still creep up, plan for that from day one

The goal isn’t just to buy a home, it’s to buy the RIGHT home, in a way that sets you up for success

From one yellow door to the next! 💛🏡

After trying to sell their Omaha home previously, these clients connected with me and we made a new plan: sell first, move into temporary housing and take our time finding the right home for their family.

The timing couldn’t have worked out better. They received top dollar for their Omaha home and patiently waited until a house they had driven by and hoped would come on the market, finally did!!

The best part? The home they sold had a bright yellow door, and their new home does too. We wrote an offer right away, and they officially closed last week!

Sometimes things really are just meant to be. Congratulations to this sweet family on their new home and new chapter in a small town! 💛

This job comes with a very specific kind of brain

The kind that’s already picking out a closing gift by day 3 of working with a client

The kind that knows exactly which neighborhood has the best tacos, the best coffee, and the best school pickup shortcut

Because half of every conversation is “so what’s good around here?”

It’s remembering to keep snacks in the car because nobody needs a hangry agent showing up to a 4pm walkthrough

It’s driving past a house with your family and casually dropping “I sold that home!”

The funny thing- none of this is in the job description

It’s just an unspoken thought process that most agents share 💕

Sometimes things are just meant to be. 🏡
I met these out-of-town clients as they were preparing to relocate to the Omaha area, and we immediately hit it off. They trusted me to connect them with an agent to sell their home in another state, and then we got to work finding the right home here.

We made the most of every visit, touring more than a dozen homes and ultimately ended up right back with the builder where we started. They fell in love with the yard, the quality of the finishes, and how much the home felt like the right fit.

I also loved helping them get to know the area, from restaurant recommendations to daycares and everything in between. I’m so excited for them to settle in and begin this new chapter in Elkhorn. Congratulations and welcome home! ❤️
