Aside from becoming the wife of Robert B Richards and becoming the mom to Robert “Robbie” C Richards, yesterday marked one of the most special moments in my life.
Robbie officially said ‘I DO!” as he was inducted into the US Naval Academy.

He’s worked hard, put in countless hours of helping out in his community, physically & mentally prepared, and mapped out his career goals with the US Navy.

I’m so very very proud of my son. This 9 year Journey won’t come without tears, frustration, and challenges (those began yesterday when his beautiful hair was shaved, had his first EKG, received multiple vacinations and meet his Detailers), and GROWTH. By the grace of God Robbie will become a successful Leader, a kind and compassionite brother to his fellow USNA midshipmen, and most of all man of high ideals and moral standards.

Evenings on our deck this month are what Life Is All About.... Peace, Beauty, Giving Thanks and the Possibilities Tomorrow Holds!
We are so very blessed to have this amazing weather at a time that we’d normally be watching the storms roll off Africa and praying they miss the USVI.
As you can see from the photos, many owners close the hurricane shutters and depart for the states during the month of September. As for Rob & I and many other full time residents - we shutter on and shutter off.... Life is Beautiful, shutters or not...
