Say hello to the hardest-working member of Casa de Vista, our solar-powered robotic pool skimmer!!

His job? Cruising the surface of the pool all day, every day ... "just taking care of business" ... scooping up leaves, bugs, and debris before you even notice they're there. No breaks, no days off, no tips required. β˜€οΈπŸŠ

Now, he does have one limitation: he doesn't dive to the bottom. But don't worry, that's why you brought your significant other/friend with you to Casa de Vista.πŸ˜‰

Book your stay and come meet our little blue (kind of faded, now) friend!! BTW, a name is still needed; drop suggestions in the comments.

This sign is one of our favorite photo spots on the whole island! πŸ“ You'll find it at Frederiksted Beach, right next to Fort Frederik in downtown Frederiksted. the "heart" of the sign even features the official Virgin Islands madras pattern woven right in.

The sign was gifted to the island by St. Croix Classes of the 80s, Inc., a local nonprofit of St. Croix high school alumni. The idea took shape during the pandemic lockdown, and it was unveiled in 2022 as a lasting tribute to the community. ( I (Beth) love learning all about the "STX backstories" ... it adds to my informations when I am driving guests around during my island tour!! )

We got the sweetest surprise from 2 of the "6 Pack of Sunshine" (some of our most recent Casa de Vista guests). Nothing makes us happier than hearing our guests had a truly great time at the villa. THIS is why we do what we do!! πŸ₯ΉπŸ’›

And just when we thought the smile couldn't get any bigger ... a SNORKELING PIG made an appearance too!! 🐷🀿

These little green clusters grow wild all over St. Croix; cousins of lychee, and known elsewhere as Spanish limes or quenepas!

Crack the skin with your teeth, pop the seed in your mouth, suck off that sweet-tangy pulp, then spit out the seed. Messy, fun, and 100% Crucian! 🌴
