Look at this bounty! It’s all from Saturday market at the Southgate Corner Farmers’ Market! We’ve enjoyed the basil on homemade pizza Saturday night, and I made pesto with the rest. That’s our first pineapple, avocado, and dragon fruit of the season. Although mangoes were prolific at the market, we still had some from the previous week. The little loaf is a lemon poppy seed cake which Chris is very partial to. That vendor also bakes great sourdough bread. We still had plenty, so did not purchase it this time. There’s nothing better than local organic produce! And the farmers are so nice. We eat well because the market is thriving! It’s a must go to for us on Saturday mornings.
