Working in Lawton/Fort Sill real estate gives me a front row seat to some of the best full circle moments. 🫶

The first time buyer who starts out convinced they’ll never feel ready, and getting their keys at the closing table.

The family who texts me photos a few weeks after closing because the boxes are finally gone, the pictures are on the walls, and the house already looks completely different from the day we walked through it.

The person who’s been following along from another state, learning the neighborhoods and saving all my local recommendations (yes, even the “where should we eat near Fort Sill?” ones), who eventually reaches out and says, “Okay, you officially made me fall in love with this place. Those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

If you've been here a while, you remember this house 👀

It's the rehab with the secret bookshelf door into the primary bedroom that you all went crazy over. It's been completely updated since I filmed it, and yes, they kept the bookshelf door! My buyers knew it was the one the second they walked in, so today I wrote an offer on it for them. I couldn't be more excited. Fingers crossed, and I'll keep you posted. Psssst... interest rates aren't the whole story. 👀

Somewhere along the way, interest rates became the main character in every homebuying conversation.

They matter, of course.

But obsessing over one number can distract you from the question that actually matters: does buying a home right now make sense for your finances, your plans, and the life you're trying to build?

A rate can tell you part of the cost.

It can't tell you whether you've outgrown your current space, how long you plan to stay (hello, PCS season at Fort Sill), what opportunities exist in the Lawton/Fort Sill market, or whether the monthly payment fits comfortably into your real life.

That's why I'd rather help you evaluate the whole decision than wait around for one magical number to give you permission.

Technically, there are parts of a move you can handle on your own.

The bigger question is how much time you want to spend figuring out what matters, what can be ignored, and what deserves a closer look.

That’s where experience changes the process. A good agent isn’t there just to unlock doors or put a sign in the yard.
