chase progression, not perfection.
it’s passionate subject for me because for the longest time I was consumed with the perfect process, the perfect business idea, thinking that I’m being productive while “planning” while really I was just wasting time and procrastinating.
when you are scared to jump, this is the perfect time to do so.
it’s never going to be easy.
it’s never going to feel smooth.
it’s never going to be smooth sailing.
and that’s okay.
don’t buy into the IG BS hype of cookie-cutter glitz and glammer, it’s never what it seems on the surface.
you don’t know how they got to their position, whether they had help, whether they are really who they say they are.
so stop comparing yourself.
the one commonality between those individuals who earned their success is hardship, perseverance and continuously chopping away at the f***ing oak tree until it fell over so they could harvest it.
the sooner you can pull the trigger and take action, regardless of how small the step, the sooner you can start playing the game.
but the game doesn’t stop.
because it’s a game of who can last the longest.
the amount of times I wanted to tap out of my business because “it was too hard” was in insurmountable.
but looking back, it wasn’t really too hard, I just didn’t have the skillset to do it yet.
so I kept swinging my hatchet until my form got better.
the strikes cut deeper.
and then you reach the next level.
you see the game never ends.
the sooner you can start playing, the sooner you can start winning.
