Recently, I got to take my sister-in-law Maddie along for a ride-along to experience a day in the life of a Title Rep.
And after spending the day showing her what I do, I walked away even more grateful to God for blessing me with a career I truly love.
We spent the morning at Broker Preview, toured some incredible properties throughout South Orange County, cruised through San Clemente on a perfect day, stopped by offices, and—my favorite part—had some incredible conversations with wonderful people in the real estate community.
People openly shared how they got started, how they’ve grown their businesses, what they’ve learned along the way, and what their careers actually look like day to day.
It reminded me how special this industry really is.
There’s something pretty amazing about realizing that the gifts God gave you—the way you connect with people, serve others, build relationships, and communicate—can become part of your career.
I truly feel like I’m living in my calling, using the talents and abilities God placed in me, and I don’t take that for granted.
Maddie is in such an exciting season right now. She recently graduated college and is figuring out what direction she wants to take her career. And I’ve been so impressed watching how intentionally she’s approaching it.
She’s done ride-alongs in real estate, pharmaceutical sales, and other industries. She asks questions. She listens. She’s even keeping track of the pros and cons of each path.
For anyone in their 20s, graduating college, changing careers, or simply trying to figure out what you’re called to do, my encouragement would be:
First, pray. Ask God for wisdom, direction, and discernment. Trust that He knows the path ahead even when you don’t.
Then go explore. Get around people doing things that interest you. Ask questions. Shadow them. Try things. Learn what energizes you and what doesn’t.
You don’t have to have your entire life figured out today. Keep seeking God, keep taking steps, and keep putting yourself in rooms where you can learn.
