Have lived in over a dozen addresses all over Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn. Focused on representing first-time Buyers and Sellers. Located in the Corporate office of Nest Seekers International. For 13 years, he was Director of Finance and Operations at Metropolitan Building Consulting Group, PLLC- a firm specializing in the retrofit and new development of buildings in the New York metropolitan area. Founded by Raj Parikh, PE, LEED AP (formerly of NYC HPD) and Bob Biviano, RA (formerly of NYC HPD, HA, and Parks), the firm has two divisions. One that consults investors & land owners on zoning, land use, and NYC agency compliance. The other designs advanced building systems sought by private NYC clientele and encompass solar pv, solar-thermal, geothermal & green roofs. With a background in quantitative and qualitative market analysis, campaign launch, and venture financing, Asit joined Metropolitan in May, 2001 to align the firm’s expertise in building systems and code with the private sector. The firm won the 2006 Global Green USA International Design Competition (16 square blocks of net-zero-energy affordable housing in New Orleans) with Workshop/APD, and ever since Asit served as liaison to NYSERDA, NYC Local Law, and CRA-LA energy programs and the broader Real Estate sector. Asit completed PHIUS PassivHaus training in 2010. In 2011, he appeared before the US House of Representatives Renewable Energy Caucus to present the case of combating climate change through better, different building techniques. Soon after, and with his family- they transformed their 1,800 sf home into a 4,500 sf net-zero-energy Cradle-to-Cradle, LEED Platinum PassivHaus built to last generations. A featured industry panelist & moderator, Asit trendspots sustainable building development, is seen as as subject matter expert, and spoke at the 2012 Wall Street Green Summit. Asit serves on the NY Committee for Global Green USA and has been voted "Greenest New Yorker" by the NY State Board of Tourism.
