MEET OUR CABINS 🌼 5 bedrooms. 4 bathrooms. Room for 10. Helen Waldhaus is the perfect home base for long weekends in Helen, great for those who want to hike, explore town, visit wineries, or simply enjoy a few days away in the North Georgia mountains.

Guests love the epic game room, outdoor fire pit space, and easy access to tubing, restaurants, shops, trails, and everything else our area has to offer. Good company, mountain air, and a cabin to come back to at the end of the day? That's our kind of getaway.

If you've ever wanted to experience a piece of the Appalachian Trail without committing to the full journey, the stretch from Hogpen Gap to Unicoi Gap is a great place to start (and it's just right down the road from us).

This section of the trail takes you through some of North Georgia's most beautiful scenery. And after a full day outdoors, it's nice coming back to a cabin where you can relax, cook dinner, and slow things down for the evening. That's one of the things guests love most about staying in Helen. You can spend the day exploring and still end it with some serious relaxation.

Yonah Mountain is one of the most well-known spots in North Georgia for a reason. The 4+ mile hike is challenging enough to feel rewarding, and the views at the top make every step way worth it.

This is one of my favorite places. So many reasons to stop by here when you're in town. They have great handmade pottery. They have a cool waterfall in the basement of the store. Kids can feed the fish. They have picnic tables outside the store. It's a great setting to bring your lunch and enjoy time on the river.
