Another failed render system brought back to life.

The brief on this one was simple – remove the blown and failing K Rend and put it right properly.

We ground out all defective areas, knocked off the loose render, carried out the preparation work and reinstated the elevations using a quality render system built to last.

The main elevations have been finished in EcorendOfficial Butter Cream, which is drying out beautifully, while the patch areas were completed in sand and cement render to match the original sections of the building.

A great transformation and another happy customer. Now it’s just a case of allowing everything to cure before the final coat of paint is applied in a few weeks.

Just got the machine back from its service and straight back to work! 🚀

It was a 5:30am start this morning to make the most of the weather and keep all our jobs running on schedule – something we pride ourselves on at On Touch Plastering & Rendering.

Today’s project was a little belter – around 40m² to the rear of the property completed in a day. Before getting started, we sprayed a few square metres to calibrate the machine settings exactly how we like them after the service, then it was full steam ahead.

We’ll be back tomorrow to finish the side elevation, get everything tidied up, and then it’s on to the next project.

For this one we’ve used VPI Monocouche Beige, and what a stunning finish it gives. We were genuinely impressed once it was on the wall – a great colour that really transforms the property.

🌧️ Come Rain or Shine, the On Touch Team Still Gets Stuck In! 💪

Another busy few days on site for the team.

Over the last two days we’ve been hard at work knocking off the old failed render, installing all beads, preparing the surfaces and priming ready for the new render system.

Today was a solid shift applying the VPI basecoat and reinforcing mesh, ensuring the property has a strong, durable foundation ready for the next stage.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️It was a plastering day.

While the heavy rain kept us away from the rendering work yesterday, the team switched gears and got stuck into helping a landlord improve and modernise one of their rental flats.

To help improve the property’s EPC rating and overall comfort for future tenants, we installed insulated plasterboards throughout and completed a full reskim, leaving everything ready for painting and the new tenant moving in.

It’s not always about the big rendering projects – sometimes it’s the smaller improvements that make a huge difference to a property’s appearance, energy efficiency, and rental appeal.

Another productive week for the team, whatever the weather throws at us! 👌
