LETTERS OF DEMAND SENT TO PROPERTY PRACTITIONERS FOR OUTSTANDING MONIES OWED TO THE PPRA

Dear Property Practitioners,

We would like to advise that the letters of demand that were sent by various PPRA staff members from Tuesday, 04 June 2024 were legitimate, and it is not a scam.

Any disputes or queries including request for invoices and statement of accounts relating to the amount due as stipulated in the letter of demand can be referred to the sender’s email address or alternatively to the Debtors and Recoveries Manager, Mr. Aubrey Mokwena at [email protected]. The PPRA endeavors to resolve all individual queries as received from the Property Practitioners.

In circumstances where Property Practitioners are unable to settle the full outstanding amount due, they have an option to enter into a payment arrangement with the PPRA subject to agreed conditions. Kindly note that practitioners who sign a payment plan which is accepted and approved by the PPRA, will be required to pay an initial instalment on signature of the agreement by the practitioner
Property Practitioners are also welcome to come into the offices of the PPRA and obtain assistance from the debtors and recoveries department officials who will assist with any queries relating to their accounts.

We trust that this communique provides clarity regarding the letters of demand sent.

Breaking news

South Africa's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) kept interest rates on hold at 8.25% in its third meeting of the year, having left the benchmark rate unchanged at a 15-year high for the past 12 months. This was in line with economists' expectations.

The decision was unanimous, and comes after the annual consumer price index (CPI) cooled for a second consecutive month to 5.2% in April from 5.3% in March.
