KALAFONG HOSPITAL EMERGENCY/CASUALTY STAFF/TEAM ARE SOMETHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT. I recently had the fortune/misfortune of visiting with them over three (3) shifts (a day and a half) time period. What I witnessed not only warmed my heart, but it reaffirmed my faith in black professional excellence, the virtues of teamwork, selflessness, and dedication. First, point of contact is the security guards, at the THREAGE Door, with their firm, welcoming no nonsense pasture;then its the receiving staff, (grossly under staffed with limited resources) but they soldier on with a smiles, and caringly let us know that you are going to get help regardless and "we are here to serve"; then you proceed to the core/engine of the operation. Synchronization and synchopation of note. Clerks,cleaners, nurses, doctors, officers, and sisters and porters seamlessly run the show while making tasteful jokes to soothe our pains and stress. Something rarely found in many of our township hospitals.
