City of Cape Town Property Valuations

The City of Cape Town has released the latest 2025 General Valuation Roll:GV2025 and this may affect your municipal account in a number of ways.

The "Rate in the Rand value has been reduced from 0.007159c to 0.006428c in the Rand (dependent on the Citys budget being approved).

The "Rates Free" benefit has been increased from the first R450 000 to the first R500 000 of property value, and will apply to all properties valued up to R8million (previously R7m).
