🌴 Cutting Back Palm Trees Safely
✅ Check the area: Look for people, vehicles, windows, power lines and anything that could be damaged.
✅ Secure the work zone: Keep students and staff away while work is happening.
✅ Use the right PPE: Gloves, safety glasses, hard hat and suitable footwear.
✅ Use the correct equipment: Make sure ladders and cutting tools are safe and in good condition.
✅ Remove one frond at a time: Start with dead or hanging fronds and control where they fall.
✅ Never overreach: Reposition your ladder rather than stretching or working off balance.
✅ Clean up properly: Remove all cuttings and check the area for sharp branches or debris.
⚠️ If the palm is too tall, close to power lines.
