Swaynekloof Guest Cottages

Swaynekloof Farm is a lifestyle farm set in a river valley in the Overberg, 4.5 km north of Botrivier Town. Botrivier town is 30 minutes from Somerset West along the N2 highway or a little over an hour's drive from Cape Town CBD. nosterveld vegetation and small animals to return. Recently purchased by the Simmonds Family Trust, we are endeavouring to create a paradise which we want to share with other nature-loving folk. We have built an 11 km game fence around a large portion of the farm and already have eland, springbok, zebra and a few ‘zen-like’ nguni within the enclosure. We also have employed a few sheep to keep our grass short on the slopes. The guest cottages overlook the very pretty Botrivier Valley where birds and small mammals abound. You can have a truly relaxing break, just sitting by the river and enjoying your picnic lunch or if you really need to do something, we are just 30 minutes’ drive from Kleinmond, Caledon, Villiersdorp and 20 minutes’ drive from Grabouw, where you can enjoy hiking or biking in the Overberg. Back at the farm, our neighbours on one side have an amazing collection of animals which you can view on request and our other neighbour offers horse riding. Only one cottage is available at the moment due to renovations on the others, but this is the larger cottage and although rustic, is very clean and cosy. The cottage comprises two bedrooms, a kitchen area, a bathroom, and a braai area. There is also a splash pool. Well-behaved pets are welcome at the owner’s risk.
