25/03/2020
Dear Owners,
As per the president speech on the 23rd March 2020, South Africa will go into a forced lock down as from midnight on Thursday the 26th March 2020 until midnight 16th April 2020.
Security and Cleaning Services:
Security and Cleaning services has been identified as one of the essential services that will remain active throughout the lock down as per below:
“People exempted from lock down: essential personnel including health workers, security services and other persons necessary for the response to the pandemic and those involved in the production, distribution, and supply of food and basic goods, essential banking services, the maintenance of power, water and telecommunications services, laboratory services, and the provision of medical and hygiene products.”
We at RBL Property Solutions will do our utmost best to ensure that we continue to provide you with an uninterrupted service throughout this lock down. We do however plead with you to be extra patient with us during this time as we attempt to get all our security officers and cleaning staff to site on time for each shift. With interrupted public transport systems, we may experience sometimes whereby the security officers and cleaning staff will struggle to get to work. We will however attempt to do all we can within our control to ensure that all security officers and cleaning staff are on duty each day.
In addition to this, we will attempt to discourage the use of public transport and make use of private transport when available, so that the security officers and cleaning staff are less exposed to possible contagion.
“Provision will be made for essential transport services to continue, including transport for essential staff and for patients who need to be managed elsewhere.”
Our Plan of Action - Security Services
RBL Property Solutions will continue to:
- Continue to provide you with security services as per usual to the best of our ability.
- Supply all the security personnel with hand/surface sanitiser and antibacterial soap to ensure they can maintain the best possible hygiene whilst on site. Should you wish to contribute to these supplies at your respective site, it would be greatly appreciated, so the security officers can continue to keep their work space and entrance to your premises as sanitary as possible.
- Adjust access control procedures to attempt to mitigate the possible spread of the virus. This includes that all sign in books will only be used by the guard, no one will be asked to use pens or touch the book.
- All breathalyzers will be suspended until further notice.
Our Plan of Action - Cleaning Services
RBL Property Solutions will continue to:
- Continue to provide you with cleaning services as per usual to the best of our ability.
- Supply all the cleaning personnel with hand/surface sanitiser and antibacterial soap to ensure they can maintain the best possible hygiene whilst on site.
- Cleaners to wipe down and sanitize all high traffic items i.e. intercoms, bio-metric readers, lift buttons and handles, door handles etc.
- As the building has had most of the residents going home so access to the units will be an issue, all Fumigation
services will be postponed until such a time that the residents have returned to the building.
In Closing
We plead with the Owners to continue to pay the monthly levy fees so that we can make sure all staff are paid and
chemicals etc. can be supplied over this period so that we are able to keep the buildings running to the highest standards possible.
We thank you once again for your continued support and believe that if we work together as a community and a nation, we will be able to overcome this virus and work towards rebuilding South Africa collectively.
