In 2021 my wife and I built our dream home in Protea Heights.
Everything we had dreamt about, became a reality, and we were lucky enough to be able to build it with the personal touches and finishes we selected ourselves.
Unexpectedly, 6 months ago I was offered a once in a lifetime employment opportunity, and the position was based in Dubai. a few months down the line, and I was sent the offer, which required me, and my whole family to relocate to Dubai.
It was probably one of the biggest obstacles we were faced with, having to sell most of our belongings, move my child out of school, leave behind so many loved friends and family, and move out of our home which we had only lived in the past 2 years.
As you can imagine, it was constantly on our mind that we wanted to find the right tenant who would enjoy, love, and cherish our home as much as we did.
About 2 months before we left for Dubai, I was in touch with LRE (Lucas Real Estate Agent) rental department, who promptly came out to meet me. I was introduced to Annelie Pretorius. She genuinely cared about our situation, for our needs, and hopes to find a suitable tenant, within quite a short period of timeline. It was not going to be a simple process, and we are no easy clients, yet LRE made the whole process an absolute pleasure.
LRE came to take professional photos, signed first class rental agreements, and run professional advertisements, which I believe were above & beyond my expectations. Within a short period of time, I was offered a professional report, and detailed application of each tenant application, 1:1 in person viewings were organized, at a time that suited everything, and a professional contract and lease agreement protecting the best interests of everyone.
Annelie stuck to all the appointments, they always were on time, completely in touch with each applicant, and acted in the interest of both of us as homeowners, and the new tenants interested in our home.
We left for Dubai at the end of August, and I must admit I have complete piece of mind, that LRE team were my rental agents of choice, to manage and facilitate this entire process.
There is an entire team behind my home, in their respective fields, looking after my home at a time we are so far away. The complete piece of mind for something like this is priceless. As daunting as immigration can be, I found that I was able to focus on the 101 other things that we had to do before the family left South Africa and leave the house rental to the specialists.
It is my genuine observation that LRE are the professionals who had my property, and our best interests in mind, and I feel truly blessed to partner with them now, and in the years to come.
