On Saturday, 7 February 2026, Lucinda Harman, together with Transforming Neighbourhoods and Homes of Distinction, took hands-on action at the intersection of Chrisoliet Street and Chrisoliet Place in Jukskei Park, restoring an open space that had fallen into neglect.

โ๏ธ Removing litter, rubble and illegal dumping
โ๏ธ Cleaning unsafe, neglected public space
โ๏ธ Restoring visibility and street appeal
As shared in the reel by Lucinda Harman, Co-Founder of Transforming Neighbourhoods, the area had become a dumping site - even bulk waste like old doors had been discarded there.
Grounded in the broken window theory, the message is clear:
Where grime is addressed early, crime is far less likely to take hold.
By cleaning and reclaiming open spaces, communities improve safety, restore pride and strengthen neighbourhood confidence - while protecting property value.
