Some before & after photos of recent woodworks completed.

Client called to say he had a few items that required attention. Some a tad more than others.

So as you can see only the sashes (opening windows) were replaced as the client felt the frames were still good.

The wood was completely rotten in certain areas of the frame and cannot be restored. This must be removed completely or replaced outright.

Woodwork underwent a complete strip, sand & prepared for a 2 coat application for the harsh Stellenbosch summer sun and rather wet winters.

The reason for the rot is becauze of the elevation of this side pretty much doesn't see any sun for most of the year.

This particular project included a refurb in the kitchen & bathroom, paint the apartment and restore many other smaller maintenance issues including some electrical, plumbing, windows and doors issues....Job complete! 👏🏽

Let's start small today with an old Singer Sewing Machine frame. After our shot blaster, an external service provider, let us down due to being ill, and us sitting with a tight deadline to have a container packed at a said date, we had no option but to take this into our own hands.

The frame had so many layers of paint on it, it probably added a few kilos. We proceeded to strip this frame down to bare metal and then spray-paint it with steel galvanising spray and then two coats of black sheen acrylic paint. The frame was finished off with a nice piece of 10mm glass with polished edges, to make for an awesome little table/desk/showpiece. The table is now en-route to the USA.

The results...WELL, even I stood back and gave a big WOW. The client on the other hand was even more impressed and could not stop thanking me for what did and how good it looked. She was really impressed that we managed to pull it off and have it ready for shipping.

Good day to all friends, clients and followers that have liked the Apex Maintenance page over the past few years.

So after a lengthy silence for no particular reason, probably procrastination., I've decided to get my butt into gear and start posting some of the big, small and sometimes unusual requests we get to assist clients with their projects.

So keep an eye out for our posts going forward. We will not bombard you with tons of posts however we will be posting some before and after pics of the jobs and projects we complete as time goes by.

So for now a huge big thank you to all our clients who have placed their trust in our capable hands. Many of our clients actually live abroad and have never met in person and this purely through word of mouth and 100% no advertising.

Well today was a rather chellenging one....Keep your eyes open for my next WASP related post. In brief, my most challenging task to date! Ever heard of 'Angry Birds....Well i tell you, you also get 'Angry wasps'!

Client called to say that 'Apparently I'm the guy to call if someone needs to have a wasp nest removed'. I'm not going to brag but I am! 😎💪

Travelled to Hout Bay to my clients family home, where i had a few 'challenging moments'. Mmmm...I'm tired now. To be continued tomorrow, with a photo or two......😆

All those little black dots are nymphs! One 'ootheca' or pod as its commonly known, can carry up to 48 babies at a time.

Here we have just 4 of the 30 + Rodent Bait-Stations supposedly being serviced on a monthly basis at a particular Hotel in Cape Town. This by a so called 'reputable' role player in the industry.

I'm only posting a few of the boxes and their 'contents', or lack thereof as they kind of all look the same. The thing with this is that the service provider has been billing this client R2 500. 00 every month, for a service that never happened. The bill was paid monthly but the last service was rendered 10 months ago!

Needless to say this is shocking, unacceptable and gives the industry a really bad name. Mmmm....Where else is this happening. Often closer to home than you'd like to believe.....

My ask this week is to put me in touch with your business partner/s, friends, family and colleagues that will meet with me to discuss a service plan for their building, business or facilities used. I guarantee 100 % professional servicing at competitive rates where a long-term business relationship will be forged through efficiency & peace of mind.

Where two or more properties are concerned, there will be discounts applied of between 10 - 30 %, depending on the treatment type and/or the content of the SLA agreement.
(Referral fee will be paid on most SLA business secured or where treatments are done on a larger scale other than domestic.)

Remember it's for all types of pest control treatments and services.
