Last week we swapped the office for pottery painting at The Pottery Ballito and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding afternoons we’ve shared together, simply spending some time getting to know one another better.

In the spirit of Women’s Month, I want to celebrate the remarkable women who make up our Durban team. They have all walked a different path, faced different challenges, and bring a unique perspective to the table. Yet they are united by a shared goal, a commitment to growth, and a willingness to inspire and support one another along the way.

Morning office commute views. ☀️

One of the perks of living just 100 metres from our head office in Gardens is that I get to walk to work every day. It gives me a few quiet moments before the day begins to think, reflect, and appreciate where we are.

Even though I take the same route every morning, there’s always something new to notice. The Longkloof development has brought so much life and energy back into this neighbourhood. It’s a reminder of what thoughtful investment and long-term vision can do for a community.

As leaders, we’re often so focused on what’s next that we forget to appreciate the progress happening around us. Growth doesn’t always arrive in big milestones—sometimes it’s found in the small changes you notice when you slow down enough to look.

Another reminder of why Cape Town is my favourite place in the world, and why I feel so grateful to call it home. ❤️

Success isn’t just measured by the deals you close—it’s measured by the person you’re becoming along the way.

Winter has been slower than usual for some of our team, and in real estate that can take a real mental toll. When the market quietens down, it’s easy to let self-doubt creep in and question your ability.

That’s when I remind our agents of something far more important than performance.

This industry moves in seasons. There will be months where everything flows effortlessly, and there will be months where it feels like you’re pushing uphill. Neither season defines you.

Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep serving your clients well. Keep trusting the process, especially when it’s uncomfortable.

The market will change. Opportunities will come again. But the character, resilience and discipline you build during the quiet seasons are what will carry you through the busy ones.

After a little time out of the office, I’m officially back!

The reason? I married the love of my life. 🤍

Taking a break from the day-to-day to celebrate such an incredible milestone with our closest friends and family at PatBuschWeddings was everything we could have hoped for and more.

I’m feeling so grateful, so loved, and completely overwhelmed by the kindness and support we’ve received. Moments like these are a reminder that while building a business is deeply rewarding, it’s the people we share life with who make it all worthwhile.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated alongside us, sent messages, and shared in our joy. My heart is full, and I’m excited to be back at work with a renewed appreciation for life’s biggest blessings.

A lot of people have asked me lately - how do you do it all? It’s a loaded question with a loaded answer.

The thing is, it’s hard. But I’ve always had an attitude of “there’s always something to learn”

I’ve had to learn a lot in my current role, and I’m still learning everyday, but a few key things I try to remind myself of constantly:

My “WHY” (purpose driven work daily)
BOUNDARIES (with everything)
REST is important!
SUPPORT - it truly takes a village
Get CREATIVE
EXPLORE as much as possible!

Have you ever stopped to consider that when someone has an emotional reaction to something seemingly small, it might not be about that moment at all?

The truth is, many people are carrying burdens that no one else can see. We’re all navigating our own challenges, and you never truly know what someone is dealing with behind the scenes.

In real estate, we’re often expected to absorb emotion, stay professional and keep moving forward. But we’re human too.

A gentle reminder to all of us: before reacting, take a beat. Lead with empathy instead of emotion. A little understanding can go much further than we realise.

It’s my birthday month! 🎁 Every year around my birthday I take some time to reflect on where I’ve been, and where I’m going, this year I thought I’d share a bit of my story.

It’s taken many years of hard work, a lot of healing and course correcting to get to where I am today. Sometimes I find it hard to just be happy because I’m so used to emotional struggle and trauma, but here we are! A few days from 35, a few weeks to my wedding, and a very full heart ♥️
