Roughly 40 minutes out of Cape Town by way of a winding coastal road, Scarborough isn’t so much outside of town as it is outside of time. Here, between bone-white dunes and crashing waves, joy is found in life’s smallest rituals. Morning coffee on the veranda. Long walks along the wild coast. Sunsets by an open fire. ⁠

This historic estate is cocooned among the citrus groves and oak trees, wrapping itself around the Berg River with its gaze turned towards the Drakenstein Mountains.
