Testimonial From A Tenant
Hi Justin
It is with pleasure that Tania and I provide you with a testimonial based on our recent interaction with you and your company.
In terms of background we were faced with a severe predicament in that our landlords, based in the United States, unilaterally decided to hire out our house without providing us with any notification; this was notwithstanding the fact that we were continuing to lease the premises on a month to month basis.
We decided not to use legal process to assert our rights to remain in occupation of the property due to the breakdown of the relationship with the landlords overseas, as well as the negligence of the landlords in terms of neglecting to repair latent defects such as the leaking roof etc.
We were faced with a situation where we had less than 2 weeks to secure alternative accommodation. We responded to the ad placed by Justin and viewed the property at 15 Seemeeu Road, Sunnydale. Although it was far too small to accommodate ourselves and our pets, to say nothing of our furniture, it was available immediately. We decided to see if we could find something more suitable, but quickly realised that we were up against an impossible timeframe.
We then reverted to Justin who understood completely that the situation was hardly a simple rental, but rather a matter of us not having a roof over our heads if he did not deliver. To say that he went the extra mile for us would be a complete understatement as nothing was too much trouble for him. He ensured that everything went smoothly, from the application to the long-distance liaison with the UK-based landlord.
In retrospect what Justin did was to focus totally on resolving our problem ie having no home, rather than viewing us as potential tenants that he could conclude a deal with. It made us realise that his approach was diametrically opposed to the vast majority of property agents who are driven by achieving sales and commission targets, rather than providing a solution to their clients problem. This can range from requiring a larger or smaller property, being closer to schools, having to sell due to Covid-generated financial pressures etc. This approach adopted by Justin completely differentiated himself from the many estate agents we have had dealings with over the last four decades, in that we felt at all times in his dealings with us that he was acting totally in our best interests.
It is our considered opinion that Justin is a real asset to not only his company but to the industry as a whole. By making the clients needs the focus of his attention there can be no doubt that he will be a stellar success in the future. We have confirmed that we shall use his services in the future for all our property requirements.
In conclusion we wish to thank Justin for his caring and constructive approach to our issues. If I were the owner of a property brokerage I would throw away the outmoded sales training manuals and distill everything down to one central principle; ensure that every single client-facing staffer realises that each and every action is based solely on what is in the best interests of their client, even if it sometimes means losing the deal. This would provide your company with a sustainable competitive advantage that would be very difficult to replicate, as well as changing the rather jaundiced view that is currently held of estate agents.
Once again our grateful thanks to Justin for an amazing and totally unexpected experience.
