An inspiration for the youth
Red Castle Developments has sponsored Faeez Jacobs, a young fighter from Mitchel’s Plain, with a brilliant ascension in the horizon of Extreme Fighting Championship. Faeez has achieved a milestone in his promising career as a fighter last August 9 becoming the EFC national South African Champion.

The official EFC 81 weigh-in took place August 9th morning in front of a boisterous crowd at the EFC Performance Institute, Johannesburg. The former champ, Nkazimulo Zulu, was looking to reclaim EFC gold when he faced No.1 contender Faeez Jacobs for the EFC bantamweight championship. Jacobs is an inspiration and a role-model for the youngsters of the Cape Flats, one of the most conflictive, turbulent and dangerous areas of the metropolitan area of Cape Town, and of the whole country for that matter. A modest Muslim boy from the Cape Flats, an area infested with drugs, crime and gangs, he has managed to make a name for himself in the EFC Championship, by self-esteem, effort and a high aspiration. He is aware of is aware of it, and he speak openly about it with humility.
“I want success for everybody and I pray that more kids follow my footsteps in reaching for their dreams rather than following the footsteps of gangsters and drug addicts.
“I’m so sick and tired of seeing how strong of an influence those negative lifestyles have on the youth.”
He says he is hoping that his success in the MMA world will spur on youngsters in Mitchells Plain to chase their dreams. “I’m hoping it will get others to be true to themselves and believe that anything is possible.
