It's such a joy to hand over keys to a new homeowner.

This lady flew down all the way from Germany to take ownership of her apartment this week.

She viewed the advert for the apartment online, and viewed the Virtual Tour of it on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bndHYHK_xI . She fell in love with the place!

Fortunately, she has a friend who lives in Cape Town, who came to view the place on her behalf, before she put pen to paper to make an offer for it. I can imagine how daunting a task it might be for someone to purchase a property in another country on another continent, without personally seeing it.

Fast forward to key handover day. We meet for the first time, and she gets to see the property in person. What a relief for me to hear "It is so amazing. It's incredible! It's even better than I imagined."

I know that she's going to be coming down to Cape Town much more often to enjoy the beaches, surfing and winelands, and all that our beautiful city has to offer, and of course her beautiful apartment.

Thank you to the seller for making this experience for the purchaser and myself such a pleasure.

After matriculating, and then going to university, I had no idea that I would end up working in the property industry. It was 10 years later, after working abroad for a few years, that my interest in property began.

My passion grew even more whilst working in the accounting department of a pioneering property development company here in Cape Town.

I later headed up a Real Estate Agency for close to a decade, specialising in property investments and property management.

I realised that rather than heading up such an operation, that I much more enjoyed engaging with clients, and working in the front line, rather than behind a desk in the office.

Now, working with eXp Realty South Africa, I have all the business support I need to do what I love.

I'm even getting to pursue my passion in photography, and getting to see so many incredible properties around the country. I'm still developing my videography skills, and pushing beyond my comfort zone. This is the latest video, which I have produced https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yJ72LNimB4

I'm more comfortable in holding the camera than being in front of it. But, it is important for one to push through our comfort zones.

God has given us talents, and we are not only to use them, but to develop them even further, for His glory.

Every day I am reminded of His greatness and goodness, in seeing some breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and some incredible landscapes. How can I not know that He is our God and creator?

About a year ago I was invited by the Chinese Christian Fellowship, to present a talk to the senior members of our community about Property for Retirement. I have been engaging with many different Retirement Estates and Facilities to find the most suitable options for those looking for a place to enjoy the next season of their lives.

I am so thankful for all the opportunities which I have been granted to assist first time homebuyers, investors, property developers, seasoned homeowners and retirees with their property needs. You are welcome to engage with me if you, or anyone you know who needs such guidance or assistance.

What a season it's been! It's been such a joy working with people from around the world, looking for homes, a place for retirement or investment properties in Cape Town, South Africa.

Sunrise Villas in Muizenberg is proving to be quite a popular choice amongst some investors - locals, foreigners and South African expats. The complex is undergoing a makeover. And it's starting to look brand new again. It's going to look amazing when it's done.

I cannot believe that a quarter of 2024 is already behind us. It's been such a busy time, and I've had the wonderful privilege to assist so many clients already.

It appears that Ex-Pats and Foreigners are very positive about South Africa, and most definitely our beautiful city of Cape Town.

Hopefully, we'll experience a reduction in the interest rates in the very near future. However, it doesn't seem to be stopping first time homebuyers from taking the opportunity in the current market.
