Why do Rookies and interns have difficulty registering with the EAAB

In my experience there are two main issues we need to deal with.
1. Email address
2. Reference number (your 7 digit-pin e.g. 1061615) given to you when you email the EAAB for the First Time.

One is when conducting business with the EAAB you need to use your personal email and not your company email. Why?

Simple, if you happen to leave the company before you actually get your FFC or even when you do get it, most agents get blocked on their emails the moment they leave a agency, and the last thing on the agent’s mind when leaving, is dealing with the changes needed and the EAAB. So, any correspondence now would have gone to the blocked email, which agent’s will not have access to, also when corresponding with EAAB stick to one email address as they trace complaints by your email and REF number. If you upload documents required for support. e.g. a Proof of payment, use the email that is registered to you with the EAAB. From experience when trying to sort agent problems out, I have found that they are using multiple emails to the EAAB and wonder how come the problem cannot be solved.

Your seven-digit REF number. This is the number given to you by the EAAB when you first register with the EAAB. This is your FFC number or your ref number that you will use as long as you are an estate agent. Agents ask why they can’t trace my payment or I have paid them. The problem is that agents do not put the reference number supplied to them via the first email sent by the EAAB, the reference number been the seven-digit number that ultimately becomes the FFC (Fidelity Fund Number). They use their names or they say new registration or they put their name and the reference, this cause a problem. If this is done it can take months to try sort out. Imagine if 5000 payments are made and the wrong reference are being used or just new registration is put as a reference. Trying to reconcile would be a nightmare.
My suggestion with new agents and agents changing agencies, or when renewing your FFC only put the reference number seven-digit pin given to you nothing else.
