Residents and businesses are advised of planned water supply disruptions this weekend while the City of Cape Town conducts acoustic leak detection testing on a critical bulk water pipeline.

🕖Shutdown periods:

Friday, 21 August | 19:00 – 07:00, Saturday, 22 August 2026

Saturday, 22 August | 19:00 – 07:00, Sunday, 23 August 2026

💧 What to expect:

• Water will be rerouted to affected areas, but lower-than-normal pressure can be expected.
• Some areas may experience temporary water disruptions while the network is being rerouted.
• Residents are encouraged to use water sparingly during the shutdown periods.
• Please plan ahead and ensure you have sufficient water available for essential use.
