Loved having you guys to stay!

We had the privilege of experiencing the exceptional hospitality of the Gorman Family this weekend. The Constantia Hill Villa is such a beautiful and warm place where one can find the rest and peace of mind that one so craves in today's busy lifestyle. We came to Cape Town for the Two Oceans Marathon and The Constantia Hill Villa is just a short drive from the event. The breakfast exceeded all expectations both with regard to taste buds and presentation.What more could one wish for than a spectacular view accompanied by delicious food and Buddy LeBrak after a really good night's rest! Thank you for your attentiveness and for making us feel at home, we would definitively recommend this beautiful sanctuary for a holiday, long or short!Hopefully we will be back soon with the fourth Team Wernecke

Eddie and the Robbers (Eddie Jordan) had an impromptu gig at HQ in Shortmarket Street last night. Also at the restaurant for dinner were Michael and Noelle Keating and Mike Rutherford. Never a dull moment in Cape Town in Summer!

Lizettes Kitchen - a great place for lunch - but don't look for the wine bottle as a point of reference - sadly it is no longer there! But fabulous food.

A wonderful Club in the centre of Cape Town. Great for sundowners in the early evening to watch the sunset all across the peninsula or for dancing the night away....

Just a lift ride up to the 31st floor of the ABSA building in town is the upmarket Club 31. There is a slightly older crowd on a Friday; young and hot on a Saturday. You could start your evening before sunset and sip on a cocktail while the sky turns crimson, then fades to black; as the Mother City's lights come out. You can survey the Winelands, Table Mountain, Cape Town's harbour, the ocean and almost everything else the city has to offer from up here. Or come here after a party or event and club until dawn...This is where it happens!

The colour sky this morning at 6.30 reflected the heat....It must have been all of 27 degrees outside at that time. This is not a complaint! It is an observation :)
