anville Wine Valley is home to some of the most colourful and respected award winning wine cellars in the country. Primarily and historically a grape producing area, there are six active wine making cellars in the region. The Rust-en-Vrede Cultural Centre consists of an old Cape Dutch complex,dating back to 1850, set in a beautiful landscaped garden. It originally served as a prison, Drostdy (magistrate's court) school, and ultimately, a private residence. Onze Molen, along with Rust-en-Vrede Cultural Centre, are both national monuments and the mill, used as a windmill until the early 20th century is one of the only two remaining towermills in the Western Cape.
