Did you know you can get your pre-approval / pre-qualification online the same day you check it? Being pre-qualified helps the banks and bond originator's process easy because due-diligence has been done, they already know the risk and its great for you because you know exactly how much you can qualify for....

Also remember to save up for any additional costs that might be needed ie. Transfer fees, accupational rent, deposit (down payment) etc... This helps the banks and bond originators to trust you with their money.

It is also very important to have Life Insurance of the same (or more) amount of property you purchase, this is so that when the unforseen happens and you die, the life insurance will pay your lenders and your children's home will be saved.

Make sure you monitor your credit score and avoid unnecessary debt. Check with your bank for a pre-qualification or pre-approval or with other bond originators like BetterBond ooba SA Home Loans etc..and you could be well on your way to buying your own home🏘️.

As of 1st April 2022, it was determined by the South African government that from now on you can still be granted the subsidy without you needing to have qualified for a home loan
