WOW! What a storm.
Durban and Seaside Holiday Apartments had its fair share of the intense sudden storm and hail that hit us yesterday.
The suddenness with which the sky clouded over and then watching the rain approaching from the north was actually quite exciting despite knowing there was bound to be a lot of damage. Then the hail! Haven't seen hail stones that big in Durban in a very long time.

This week features the MSC regatta taking place off shore directly in front of Seaside Holiday Apartments.

May weather in Durban is so beautiful.
The dolphins were in the bay this afternoon corralling fish into a bait ball. They were jumping out the water as they came ever closer in. Quite a sight to see.

What’s happening here at Point Waterfront 24th May?

Seaside Holiday Apartments overlooking the new Promenade. Oceans8 swimming competition taking place, a freighter leaving harbour and a cannon going off at the end of the North Pier!
Looking out to sea the start of the Vasco Da Gama ocean yacht race starting on their way to East London. A gruelling two and a half day. Racing along the Wild Coast, one of the world’s most treacherous coastlines.
