The SHRA provides a grant amount of R426 308.00 per social housing unit. This Grant is provided to qualifying projects and this financial assistance is given to the Social Housing Institutions (SHIβs) and the other Delivery Agents (ODAβs) through Institutional Investment Grants.
There are two ways in which you can partner with the SHRA. You could either become a Social Housing Institution (SHI) by applying for SHI accreditation. To learn more about the requirements for this process you can reach out to [email protected].
The other option of delivering a social housing project is by bringing a project to the SHRA as a private developer which we refer to as an Other Delivery Agent (ODA). See below details on how to obtain the project application pack in order to register your project on the pipeline for ODA Project Accreditation.
The channel for registering your project onto the SHRA pipeline;
β’ Step 1: Send an introductory email about the project you would like to register to our [email protected] email address.
β’ Step 2: You will then receive an acknowledgment letter and further instructions on what documents are required (i.e. BBBEE certificate, I.D. copies, Land Availability, etc), please populate and submit as per the instructions.
β’ Step 3: After you submit these documents, the SHRA will screen your submission and you will then be given a project application pack which contains our Quick Scan A,B and C tools for you to populate
o The QSA β as an SHI, you will not be required to populate
o The QSB β Technical viability of the projects
o The QSC β Financial viability of the project
β’ Step 4: Once these tools have been populated, then you will submit them to the same email address and then you will be successfully registered onto our pipeline and receive confirmation thereof, you will be allocated a project accreditation specialist that will assist with the facilitation of your project
