Hi I am a Biokineticist and this is how I can help you:
1. General fitness and conditioning. Through individualised and supervised training sessions we can help you reach your fitness goals avoiding injury or training errors along the way.
2. Exercise prescription for special populations. We are trained to work with the elderly, pregnant females (both pre and postpartum), cardiac patients, patients diagnosed with neuromuscular disorders or disease, osteo and rheumatoid arthritic patients, patients diagnosed with osteopeonia or osteoporosis.... To name but a few.
3. Sports specific training. Through Scientific and individualized training periodization and program prescription we can enhance performance, manage training load and help you to peak at the right time.
4. Exercise based rehabilitation. This is a Biokineticist's bread and butter, where we really shine as health professionals. We can take you through guided exercise programs to get you back to functional daily living. We treat patients with basic joint or mechanical pain such as mechanical lower back pain as well as helping patients return to function post injury or surgery.
Through exercise and movement we help you to heal. Our goal is to find the cause of your pain and use exercise to treat the cause.
