Last night, Newlyn Group was proud to host the Carlton Athletic Club Comrades 2026 runners for a well-deserved post-Comrades celebration.

The evening brought together athletes, supporters and club members to enjoy a celebratory feast, awards and an opportunity to reflect on an incredible achievement.

A special congratulations to the club's 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀, as well as the athletes who reached the remarkable milestones of completing their 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻.

These accomplishments are a testament to years of hard work, discipline and passion for the sport.

The Newlyn Park Bayhead Rail Terminal in 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐧 spans over 630 000m² and is now recognised as one of the largest warehouse development in South African history.

In 2009, Newlyn Group developed South Africa’s first fully compliant bulk sulphur handling facility in Richards Bay.

Located just 3km from the port, the site was strategically positioned to support efficient movement of bulk product.

With direct access to the Transnet rail network and infrastructure designed for full block trains, the facility allows for reliable flow from storage to distribution.

The development was purpose built for sulphur, with reinforced concrete floors and walls designed to handle corrosive materials.

The warehouses offer wide, column free space, making large scale storage and operations more practical and efficient.

Over 15 years later, the facility remains fully occupied. It continues to support the bulk storage sector with a solution that is well located, compliant and built to perform.

This project remains a clear example of how Newlyn Group approaches development, with a focus on practical design, strong logistics positioning, and long-term value.
