Interesting unpacking of the statement made by President Ramaphosa about the realignment of the Ports in South Africa, with Durban becoming a Southern Hemisphere transshipment hub and the Ngqura (Coega) port located on the outskirts of PE becoming the main container port of SA. How will this affect the economy of Durban & Kwazulu Natal??

There has been mixed reaction to news that Durban is to be developed as a hub port for the southern hemisphere and Ngqura port in the Eastern Cape as the container terminal of choice.
