There is much ado about ‘the perfect’ life - a life without any challenges, or what we term negative, like pain and sadness and a host of other ‘negatives’.
It’s best we enlighten ourselves!
Life is not like that. The full package comes with both the negatives and positives. How else will we grow and evolve – which is in fact our purpose – to be happy, healthy, productive and prosperous human beings – our ‘best selves’.
We can aid the process of transformation though – by becoming more aware of those things that hamper our growth and happiness.
Let me help you. Here are some STOP’S you can work on immediately!
STOP!
• STOP looking to others for your happiness - your happiness is within you
• STOP comparing yourself to others – no point. There will always be a ‘better’ or ‘lesser’.
• STOP lying to yourself – take the chance and look yourself squarely in the face and be honest. Enormously liberating.
• STOP holding onto the past – you cannot have a better tomorrow if you keep regurgitating all the yesterdays.
• STOP running from your problems – face them - no other way out.
• STOP trying to be someone you’re not – better to be a first rate you than a second rate someone else.
• STOP trying to be perfect – perfection procrastinates. Just do your best and get it done.

We will never know how great we are until we test our deepest insecurities, our limits, and our fears.
We must challenge ourselves every day. It may be frustrating and disappointing at times, but it’s the only way for us to know just how much we are capable of. When we choose to persist, we will be rewarded. We'll find ourselves stronger and more capable of achieving greater things.

GO DEEPER
Life is synonymous with Spirit. No spirit? then we are just a bag of flesh and bones, because everything is a manifestation of Spirit. The non-acceptance or denial or ignorance will not change the facts an iota. We are Souls... spiritual beings having a physical experience. And as long as we do not acknowledge that 'higher' part of ourselves, we will forever be unfulfilled, wanting more.

Conversely, neither can we dwell only in the 'spiritual world.' That would be living in 'woo-woo' land. Meaning and fulfillment of life is found in balancing the physical and the spiritual.

Imagine a workplace (and obviously the home) where words like compassion, and caring, and kindness, tolerance, and love - words related to Spirit, words that are music to the human heart, abound. It could, apart from serious business, be a welcoming place of real communication, and unity, and community, real heart stuff - a place folk could look forward to going to daily. A place where the results could only show up as success and prosperity for all. A richer life, really.

Now that would be an ideal world, wouldn’t it? The one we can all contribute to in simple ways - employer and employee alike, and amidst the chaos and overwhelm reigning out there, is precisely what is needed - especially when everyone gets back to work.
That would be real success, real magic in the mystical...in Life!

We feel as an NPO (with PBO status) that it is time that we make a statement regarding Covid19.

The Rainbows and Smiles team have cried many tears together over the last few weeks; we are crying for everything our oncology families are having to endure right now. We may come across as strong, but our little unit is battling. We are trying to put on brave faces while it feels like the outside world is crushing down on us.

A new virus, on top of childhood cancer. A virus that has brought our entire nation to its knees. A virus that mutates fiercely and fast. A virus that we can't see or detect until it's taken over our bodies, using us as vessels to infect and spread to others. A virus that wants to destroy us and take away our ability to breath.

Some of our team have witnessed first-hand what it feels like to watch a cancer child battle to breath and fight for their lives. Our fears are warranted, they are real, and we also know that sometimes things do not work out as we believed. We have seen too much death and held grieving mothers in our arms until our shoulders ache, our hearts break and we are tear stained and damaged!

What we cannot understand is HOW or WHY or under WHAT belief ANYONE feels they have the right to act irresponsibly given the nature of this virus. We can't understand why some people believe it is okay to ignore the very real dangers.

Our cancer children cannot fight the simplest infections, their tiny bodies are at war with a hideous beast called CANCER. Cancer takes hold of their blood cells and families are battling to save their babies lives.

This virus may give you the sniffles, but it may surely end the life of a child with cancer.

Our Rainbows and Smiles family are calling all South Africans to PLEASE stay at home. Please do not take more than you need from the shops. Please think of others before you think of yourself. This is a time when emotions will run high, be tolerant of each other, none of us know what we are dealing with.

Become incredible, inspirational, considerate and kind humans. Be teachers to those around you.
