WHEN YOUR EMPLOYEES STOP CARING BUT STILL REPORT FOR WORK.
One of the biggest dangers in any organisation is having employees who are physically present but mentally and emotionally disconnected.
They report on time, attend meetings, complete assigned tasks and collect their salaries. But the passion, creativity and commitment are gone.
WHAT WENT WRONG?
That employee who once contributed brilliant ideas now sits silently in meetings. The one who volunteered for extra responsibilities now says, "That's not my job."
The hardworking employee who always went the extra mile now does only what is required.
Before calling them lazy, ask yourself WHY.
Perhaps their efforts were never recognised. Their concerns were ignored. Favouritism replaced fairness. Poor leadership destroyed their motivation.
HERE IS THE HARD TRUTH:
☑️ You cannot humiliate employees and expect loyalty.
☑️ You cannot ignore hard work and expect commitment.
☑️ You cannot promote favourites and expect others to remain motivated.
☑️ You cannot create a toxic workplace and demand a positive attitude.
Yes, employees must remain accountable for their performance. But leaders must also take responsibility for the environments they create.
REMEMBER THIS: Some employees resign emotionally long before they submit resignation letters. They haven't left your organisation, but you've already lost their passion, creativity and commitment.
LEADERS, DON'T JUST ASK WHY EMPLOYEES ARE NO LONGER GIVING THEIR BEST. ASK WHAT CHANGED IN THE WORKPLACE THAT MADE THEM STOP TRYING.
A salary may keep employees reporting for work, but respect, recognition, fairness and good leadership inspire genuine commitment.
FIX THE CULTURE BEFORE YOU LOSE THE PEOPLE!
