Mot Residence

The open-plan design of the living space spills out onto the exterior terraces, allowing for a seamless transition. The swimming pool area becomes a sanctuary and key feature of the covered patio, with an integrated boma and fire pit ideal for entertaining.

Exposed cantilevered concrete fins form a strong architectural narrative on the first storey, screening harsh solar exposure from the west.

Sandton Residence

Sandton Residence is a 1400 sq.m. 3-storey residence located on a fairly sloped 4100 sq.m. site overlooking Johannesburg East. The design was conceptualised as stacked and intersecting perforated ‘boxes’, which rest on top of each other and intersect with monolithic concrete-clad walls. The architectural material palette reflects this monolithic language through the use of dark grey aluminium perforated screens and concrete panels that adorn the majority of the architectural feature walls.
